98-Year-Old Grandma Steals The Spotlight From A Country Singer – No One Was Expecting THIS

it’s every country music singer’s dream to perform at the Grand Ole Opry. After all, the stage’s motto and slogan is “The Show that Made Country Music Famous,” and it could not be more true. Being invite to perform here remains one of country’s music most crowning achievements, and the likes of country music legends like Alan Jackson, Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, and the Dixie Chicks have performed on this stage.

That’s why I was shocked by what Josh Turner did. This emerging country star was invited to perform at this world-famous stage back in February 2016. While you would expect him to take advantage of the opportunity, he decided to use it as a platform for something special

Standing onstage in front of a sold-out audience, Turner takes the microphone. Rather than introduce his next song, he invites a special guest onstage. “My wife’s 98-year-old grandmother, her name is Lois Cunningham, and she’s gonna come out and play.” You heard that right. Turner invited his 98-year-old grandmother in law to perform on the stage in his place.

Don’t worry though, this 98-year-old sure is talented. Sitting in front of a piano, she plays a stunning performance of “How Great Art Thou,” fulfilling a lifelong dream. It’s clear she cherished this moment, and the crowd appreciated her performance. In fact, they rewarded her with a standing ovation.

Josh Turner did something wonderful for his grandmother-in-law. It’s great to see gestures like this.

Please SHARE this amazing performance with your friends and family.
